Alba I. Deliz, 86, of Findlay, formerly of Kenton, passed away at 12:03am on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Birchaven Village. She was born on March 8, 1932 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio and Eulalia (de Leon) del Pilar. She married Roberto S. Deliz who preceded her in death on August 28, 2002. Surviving are her daughter, Janet (Dr. Ronald) Osborn of Kenton; her son, David (Margaret) Deliz of Solon, Ohio; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Deliz of Canton, Ohio; her granddaughter, Kristin (Chip) Grimshaw, three grandsons, Anthony (Rachael) Deliz, Christopher Deliz, and David Joseph Deliz, her great-grandson Aedan Deliz, and her brother, Emilio (Pura) del Pilar Jr. of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Chely del Pilar, Wilder del Pilar, and Ra�l del Pilar, and her son, Denis Deliz. Alba worked as a nurse’s aide and medical technician at Hardin Memorial Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton. Alba loved the colors pink and green, the smell of roses, the taste of a properly made cup of scaldingly-hot Puerto Rican coffee, and the sounds of the Latin music of her childhood. She never missed an episode of All My Children or General Hospital and enjoyed watching golf on the weekends. She made the most amazing arroz con pollo and carne guisada. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jonathan Hanover officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
