One person was killed and four were seriously injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred late Wednesday morning on Keener Road at State Route 203 in Marion County.
According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 28 year old Aaron Mckelvy was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by 32 year old Harold Cook, who ran a stop sign on Keener at 203.
Cook’s vehicle struck a northbound car being driven by 40 year old David Short, of New Bloomington. Both vehicles continued off the road and struck a utility pole before coming to rest in a field.
Mckelvy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers as well as passengers in their vehicles, 31 year old Nikki Cooper and 37 year old Joshua Osborne, were all transported to Marion General Hospital. Osborne was later transferred to OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
The crash remains under investigation.
