Officers Forced To Shoot Aggressive Dog

Kenton Police officers were forced to put down a dog that was acting very aggressively around noon on Sunday.
 

According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers received a complaint that a large dog was running loose on East Columbus Street near St. John's Church.
 

The animal, identified as a pit bull, was located in the 300 block of North Market Street.
 

Due to its aggressive behavior, officers were  forced to dispatch the animal.
 

The dog's owner, identified as 38 year old Julie Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with failure to obey a lawful order and failure to confine a dog.
