On Wednesday, December 9, 2015 the Ada Police Department held our annual Christmas and Awards Dinner to honor several employees who have performed above and beyond the call of duty.

Sgt. Donnie Deckling was presented with a Departmental Certificate of Appreciation for his work with our newly formed K9 Unit which was certified in October of this year.

Ptl. Andrew Peterman and Det. Rob Sheldon were presented a Meritorious Award for discovering and apprehending a suspect involved in the manufacturing of Meth within the Village of Ada.  Their actions also averted a potentially dangerous situation.

Sgt. Bollinger was honored with a Life-Saving Award for his actions in assisting with CPR on an individual who had overdosed on heroin.  The individual survived the overdose in part due to Sgt. Bollinger’s actions.

Finally, the department honored long-time Dispatcher Fran Wince as our 2015 Employee of the Year.  Dispatcher Wince has been with the department and Village of Ada since 1973.  Fran was one of the first dispatchers for the department and saw us through the transfer of dispatch services to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office earlier this year.
