The Riverdale Lady Falcons used a big third quarter to rally past the Kenton Lady Wildcats 62-43 Saturday afternoon.

 

The Wildcats led 24 to 23 at the half, but Riverdale outscored Kenton 18 to 4 in the third quarter to grab a 41 to 28 advantage. The Falcons then put the game away by outscoring the Cats 21 to 15 over the final eight minutes.

 

Riverdale, which improves to 6 and 3, got 19 points and four steals from Sydney Holderman while Taylor Frey had 11 points and Taylor Farmer scored 10. Rounding out a balanced Riverdale attack were Aricka Hill, who finished with nine points and 7 rebounds, and Janessa Taylor, who scored eight points.

 

Ashley Morris was the only player to score in double figures for Kenton, which falls to 5 and 4. Morris had 10 points while Ellie Miller scored nine and Kori Barrett and Sara Hoyt finished with six points apiece.
