The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance recently held an economic and community development briefing for its members, civic leaders and elected officials throughout Hardin County.
The presentation was made by economic development attorneys from Bricker & Eckler law firm. Headlining the briefing was Chris Schmenk, former Vice-President of Scotts Lawn Miracle Grow, previous Mayor of Marysville and former Director of the Ohio Department of Development and member of Governor Kasich’s Cabinet. Chris, along with government affairs attorney, Greg Lestini, provided some details and examples of various development tools and programs, and how organizations can work together to attract new business to the community and promote retention and growth of existing businesses.
Alliance President & CEO Jon Cross stated "both Chris and Greg were very impressed with the organizational structure, community support and five-year strategic plan in place to attract and retain business to the county."
