During the Regular session of the School Board Tracy Hiller gave her Treasurer report and told the board that they have made there first payment for the Health Savings Accounts on January 3rd, with only 9 individuals out of approximately 180 who had not set up their accounts as of the 3rd. Hiller also announced that starting Tuesday January 9th through Friday the 13th they will begin training on a new software called Sungard. Sungard is a new financial and Human Resource Software which was selected by the State of Ohio to replace the outdated DOS based software currently in use. The new software will open up new possibilities for the Kenton School system since it offers on-line tools to apply for new job positions, handle tax forms on-line, and will boost efficiency in handling financial and vendor forms. According to Hiller the transition to the new software will be a big undertaking but should be completed by July 1st.
