New Bloomington Man Drowns in Sandusky River

 
A New Bloomington man was the victim of an accident drowning on Wednesday.
 
According to a release from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, at around nine Wednesday night a call came in to investigate an overdue kayaker who was out on the Sandusky River.
 
Deputies initiated a search in the area of County Highways 37 and 29 and at around 11:30pm, the body of 47 year old William "Mike" Shanaberger was found submerged underneath his overturned kayak.
 
The Wyandot County Coroner ruled his death to be an accidental drowning.
 
The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Upper Sandusky Police Department and the Upper Sandusky EMS Water Rescue Team.
