Kenton Grad Receives Ohio Highway Patrol Promotion

 

A Kenton Senior HIgh School graduate received a promotion recently with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

 

The Lima News reported that Michael Black, who graduated from Kenton in 1981, was promoted this week to lieutenant colonel, which is the second highest rank with the patrol. The promotion was announced this past Wednesday during a ceremony at the patrol’s training academy.

 

Black began his patrol career in May of 1988 as a cadet dispatcher at the Piqua District Headquarters, according to the paper.
