Ada Named 16th Safest City in Ohio

Ada has been named Ohio’s 16th Safest City by the National Council for Home Safety and Security.

Ada Police Chief Michael Harnishfeger credits the entire Ada community for being civic minded and engaged for a safer community as a major component in receiving the distinction.

In 2002, the police department implemented their award winning project Seeking Aid From Every Resident, or SAFER,  which encourages residents to be engaged and recognizes citizens who contribute to a safer Ada.

Chief Harnishfeger said being named Ohio’s 16th Safest City confirms their efforts are paying off.
