A water main project in Forest is expected to start soon.
The Daily Chief-Union reported that Village Administrator Wes Davis told council members at Thursday’s meeting that 8 bids were received from contractors. The winning bid was submitted by R.A. Bores Excavating from Monroeville for $289,650.
The project will replace the existing 4 inch water main, which was installed in 1922 with a looped 8 inch main. It is designed to improve water pressure to the northern portion of the business district, according to the paper.
