Two hit-skip crashes occurred near Bellefontaine Saturday morning.
According to WPKO radio, Scott Hedges of 46 was driving while intoxicated on County Road 43 when he went through the intersection of County Road 18. His vehicle went off the road and struck a barn. Hedges then fled the scene.
He then went through the stop sign at County Road 11, and struck a tree, and fled that scene. Hedges failed field sobriety tests. The car sustained heavy damage. He was charged with OVI, operating an unsafe vehicle, two counts of leaving the scene, and two counts of failure to control.
He was not injured, and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
