The Kenton defense forced four turnovers to the help the Wildcats defeat Defiance 27 to 7 in Western Buckeye League football action Friday at Robinson Field.
The Wildcats are now 1 and 2 overall and 1 and 1 in the Western Buckeye League while the Bulldogs slip to 0 and 3 overall and 0 and 2 in league action.
Jaron Sharp rushed for two touchdowns and connected twice more for scores with Landon Rush, but the story of the game was the Kenton defense, which turned away Defiance time and again in the second half.
Noah Eikenbary and Bruce Bartlett recovered fumbles for the Wildcats while Shawn Conover and Brice Ellis intercepted passes for Kenton.
Bartlett was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
The Wildcats are back in action on Friday when they travel to Harmon Field to meet Wapakoneta. WKTN will have all the action live, with the pregame show starting at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
