Kenton High School is encouraging parents to monitor their students social media usage and what they are posting online.

A letter penned by Kenton High School Principal Chad Thrush released to the school’s website calls for cooperation of parents alongside the school in discussing internet usage with their children. Thrush writes that internet connected devices are not going anywhere, and the students must be taught to utilize them properly.

He notes that the school hosts local law enforcement and guest speakers to highlight the importance of a student’s digital footprint, and how postings could affect college enrollment and jobs in a student’s future.
