This October students and staff at Kenton High School got into the holiday spirit a little early!
The Kenton OHP FFA Chapter hosted a successful “Sock-Tober” drive. Students organizing the event set a goal to raise 1,000 pairs of socks. By the end of the week, students ended up raising nearly 1,900 pairs of socks for our community.
The idea was inspired by a national movement that a speaker presented at National Convention a year ago. The sock drive ran for one week in the end of October. During that time, the chapter collected socks for men, women and children.
The drive was organized by the FFA Chapter and all the socks will be donated to numerous local, nonprofit agencies within our community.
