A runaway juvenile was involved in a crash that occurred Monday morning on County Road 265 near the intersection with State Route 31 in Buck Township.

 

According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, a 14 year old boy from Cridersville, Ohio, was driving a vehicle east on 265 and failed to negotiate a curve. The car went off the north side of the road, travelled through a yard and crashed into a tree. The vehicle he was driving was reported stolen in Auglaize County.

 

The juvenile was not injured. He was detained and later released into the custody of the Cridersville Police Department. The incident remains under investigation.

 

Sheriff's Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Kenton Fire Department and BKP Ambulance.
