A Kenton man is accused of assaulting a fellow inmate this week while in the Logan County Jail.
WPKO Radio reported that 34 year old Dustin Harber assaulted 34 year old James Gilliam Jr., of Bellefontaine, while both were incarcerated in the jail.
Another inmate reported seeing Harber punch Gilliam three times in the head and then kick him twice. Gilliam was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
After being moved to another cell block, Harber then attempted to hang himself, but jail staff members were able to thwart the suicide attempt. He was then placed on suicide watch.
