Kenton, OH – The Jon Cross for State Representative campaign received a major endorsement today, as the three county sheriff’s of Hancock, Hardin and Logan counties support and endorse Cross' campaign for the 83rd Ohio House race in the upcoming May 8th Republican Primary Election.
Hancock County Sheriff Michael E. Heldman, Hardin County Sheriff Keith A. Everhart and Logan County Sheriff Randall J. Dodds provided their personal support within a video endorsement that was released by the campaign.
“The three of us have met with Jon and appreciate his ability to listen, learn and build partnerships to help law enforcement fight crime, end Ohio’s drug epidemic and make our communities safer,” said Sheriff Heldman.
“We believe Jon is the candidate of choice for this election, as we need a strong leader and voice in Columbus who will have our backs and fight for resources that help us do our job,” said Sheriff Dodds.
“Jon understands that in order to have a vibrant and healthy local economy, with good paying jobs, you must have reliable local law enforcement services to make our community stronger,” said Sheriff Everhart.
“I’m incredibly honored to have the support from our county’s top law enforcement leaders, and have the upmost respect for the men and women who protect us,” said Cross. “Securing our schools and communities, rejecting sanctuary cities and preventing drug use and abuse is a top priority of mine to keep the 83rd district safer, stronger and open for business.”
Cross has also been previously endorsed by several local elected officials, as well as business, education and agricultural leaders. For more information about the campaign and previous endorsements, please visit www.votejoncross.com.
