KENTON – The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance hosted their 12th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on February 22nd commemorating the 2017 business year, presenting their Annual Alliance Awards to outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals as well as celebrating incoming and outgoing Board of Directors members. 
The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance presented awards in the following categories to the following recipients:
.Business of the Year-Rick’s Auto Sales
.Small Business of the Year- 235 Grill
.Citizen of the Year- Charlotte Hamm
.Community Service of the Year- Crossroads Crisis Center
.Women L.E.A.D. Professional Excellence Award- Sheryl Haushalter
.Young Professionals Alliance Achievement Award – Dustin McCullough
.Hardin County Ambassador of the Year Award – Kim Reisinger
In conjunction with the presentation of the Alliance Awards, the Hardin County Safety Council also presented five area businesses with grant monies to applaud their efforts to increase safety innovation and wellness cultures within their workplace. The grant recipients were as follows:
.City of Kenton - $250
.Robinson Fin Machines - $500
.Village of Ada - $750
.Ada Technologies - $1,000
.Hardin County -$1,000
The R.E. Allen Lifetime Achievement Award was also awarded to the Elliott family during the celebration. The R.E. Allen Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor presented by the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance for those community and business leaders who have made a generational impact for the long-term growth and success of our community. 
At the conclusion of the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance Annual Meeting, Brian Sprang, Board Chairman passed his gavel to new incoming Board Chairman, Andrew McBride. Tim Street, Peg Wren, Chris Burns-Dibiasio and Michelle Cole will end their term as board members and four incoming board members; Sean Root, Stephanie Temple, Matt Lambdin and Luke Underwood were voted on and accepted as new Board of Directors Members.
