The Kenton City Council met last night for a speedy meeting.


To begin the meeting State Representative hopeful, Cheryl Buckland, addressed the council on her ongoing campaign. Buckland told the council that she is looking for the support of voters in the 83rd district in the upcoming Republican Primary. Voting for the May primary will be on Tuesday, May 8th.


The Kenton Fire Department Chief, Tim Clark, told the council that the newly purchased ambulance is almost ready for commision. And Kenton Police Chief, Dennis Musser, addressed the council by saying that there is a new police officer who will be introduced to the council in the upcoming weeks.


Committee updates included the Kenton City School committee, Council Member, Clint Sneary, shared that the new bus garage is on its way to being completed. The building will be on Kohler Street in Kenton.


The next meeting of the Kenton City Council will be March 12th at seven o’clock in council chambers.
