The Kenton City Council met last night in Council Chambers.


The Council was first able to hear from Roger Crowe on his downtown veteran banner project. The project aims to fill the Historic Downtown Courthouse District with banners displayed on the light poles of active and non-active members of out nation's armed forces. Applications for the banners are available at the Hardin County Commissioner's office or at the Hardin County Business and Chamber Alliance office. The price for the banners is $115 dollars. Sponsorships are being seeked for veterans who are unable to purchase a banner. For more information on the banners visit www.troop.banners.com.


The Council also heard comments from Congressional hopeful Todd Wolfrum. Wolfrum is competing for the District 5 United States Congressional Seat. In the primary, Wolfrum, will have to face off against incumbent Bob Latta who have served in the seat for 10 years. Voting for the Republican Primary will be Tuesday May, 8th. The next meeting of the Kenton City Council will be Monday March, 26th at 7 o’clock in Council Chambers.
