A Hardin County resident was contacted by two individuals claiming they had a warrant and the resident needed to pay a bond of $1000.

The resident told sheriff's deputies that the two males who called used the names Deputy Davis and Sergeant Carrol.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office issued a statement saying that they will never call and advise you they have a warrant.

If you receive a call like this, you should hang up and contact the sheriff's office at 419-673-1268 to verify the validity.
