The Primary Election is over and the results are in.
In the Hardin County Commissioner Race, Tim Striker defeated Bob Carder for the Nomination of Republican Candidate. 2107 votes or 69.81%, were cast for Striker while Carder garnered 911 votes or 30.19%. Striker will face Democratic Candidate Ronald Eastman in November. Eastman ran unopposed in the Democratic Primary.
Jon Cross defeated Cheryl Buckland as the Republican nominee for the 83rd Ohio House Seat.
Cross was able to pull in 58.68% or 7,467 of the votes in Logan, Hardin, and Hancock Counties compared to Buckland’s 5,258 votes or 41.32%
51.68% or 11,251 were in favor of The Ohio-Hi Point .6mil levy which passed with 48.32% or 10,518 against the levy.
The Village of Patterson passed the 1.5 mills property tax levy with 65% of the 20 votes in favor of the levy. The 5 year levy will commence in 2018 with first due in 2019.
