The Kenton Middle School 8th Grade Class has made the journey to the nation’s capital on their annual trip. The tour stops for yesterday included the Einstein memorial, Vietnam Wall and Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, the Washington Monument and the reflection pond.
More was scheduled for the group, however some severe weather rolling through the DC area had other plans. 8th Grader Mitch Jennings said his favorite part of the day was the massive size of the Lincoln Monument.
“Probably my favorite thing was going up and seeing how huge the abraham lincoln monument was because it puts you in perspective.” said Jennings.
Another busy day is in store for the students for today, and we’ll bring you up to speed tomorrow on WKTN.
