The Bath Wildkittens scored the game's final six points to edge the Kenton Lady WIldcats 49-44 in Western Buckeye League girls basketball play Thursday.
Kenton (3-1 overall, 0-1 WBL) fought back from a nine-point third-quarter deficit and trailed by seven in the fourth quarter but rallied to take a 44-43 advantage with under three minutes to go. The Wildkittens (5-0, 1-0) then pulled away down the home stretch to post the victory.
Bath was led by Lindsay Singhaus, who scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Jaidyn Hale, who had 11 points and five rebounds.
Kenton placed three players in double figures. Kori Barrett finished with a team-high 15 points while Ellie Miller had 14 points and six rebounds while Layne Taylor finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Taylor was named the Ace Hardware Player of Game.
