The Kenton Wildcats begin Western Buckeye League play tonight when they host the Celina Bulldogs.
Kenton is 3 and 1 on the season. Three players average in double figures for the Cats – Jaron Sharp (18 ppg), Landon Rush (17 ppg) and Jayden Cornell (11 ppg).
Celina is looking for its initial win of the season as the Bulldogs have lost their first three games against an admittedly-difficult early-season schedule (Bellefontaine, Versailles and Bowsher).
WKTN will have all the action live tonight from Kenton High School, with the pregame show starting around 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, WKTN will present a boys and girls doubleheader between Kenton and Riverdale.
In the matinee, the Lady Wildcats will entertain the Lady Falcons. Kenton is 4 and 1 on the year after a 78 to 48 win over Celina on Thursday while Riverdale checks in at 4 and 4 after dropping a 67 to 34 decision to Hopewell-Loudon. The pregame show for this game will start around 1 p.m. from Kenton High School.
Later on Saturday, the Kenton and Riverdale boys basketball teams will square off at the Falcon’s Nest in Riverdale. The Falcons are 0 and 4 on the year heading into tonight’s game with Pandora-Gilboa. The pregame show for the nightcap should start around 7:30 p.m. at Riverdale.
