Defiance slipped past Kenton 51-48 in Western Buckeye League girls basketball action Friday night on the opening night for the Bulldogs' new gymnasium.
The win was the eighth straight for Defiance, which improves to 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the WBL.
Kennedy Replogle led the Bulldogs with 16 points and six rebounds while Emily Poling added 12 points and four rebounds.
Kenton (6-3 overall, 1-2 WBL) got 11 points and nine rebounds from Layne Taylor. Ellie Miller finished with 11 points and five rebounds while Caitlin Tudor grabbed eight misses for the Lady Wildcats.
Taylor was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
