The Kenton Wildcats built a double-digit lead and then held off a late Delphos Jefferson rally to post a 61-53 victory in boys basketball play Saturday night.

Kenton (6-3) led 43-30 early in the fourth quarter but Delphos Jefferson (3-8) stormed back to close to within two points down the stretch. However, the Wildcats were able to convert all 10 of their fourth-quarter foul shots to secure the win.

Alex Rode had 20 points to lead Delphos Jefferson.

Landon Rush finished with 23 points while Jaron Sharp added 19 points and 12 rebounds for Kenton.

Rush was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
