The Kenton Wildcats rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to defeat Bluffton 59-53 in boys basketball action Saturday.
The Pirates (9-12) led 37-27 in the third quarter and were on top 38-35 after three quarters. The Wildcats used pressure defense, strong three-point shooting and a deft touch from the foul line to battle back and get the win.
For the game, Kenton (13-8) knocked down 12 three-pointers. The Cats also converted 11 of 12 foul shots down the stretch to seal the win.
Jared Piercefield had 15 points to lead Bluffton while Kaleb Jefferson had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Mason Soper scored 13 points.
Four Wildcats scored in double figures. Tye Sherman had 17 points while Jayden Cornell finished with 15 points and Jaron Sharp and Landon Rush tallied 10 points apiece.
Sherman was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
