The Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity team fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-4 loss to Perry on Monday.  
 
Perry scored on a double by K Wells in the first inning.
 
Ridgemont lost despite out-hitting Perry nine to six.
 
Perry opened up scoring in the first inning.  Wells drove in one when she doubled.
 
Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity tallied three runs in the fifth inning.  Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity's offense in the inning came from singles by Cassidy Knapp and Jackie Ramsey and a triple by Priscilla Howland.
 
Perry scored four runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive firepower by Perry was led by M Deal, K Trent,  Wells, and A Muniz, all driving in runs in the inning.
 
Wells led things off on the rubber for Perry. She went seven innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, striking out 11 and walking one.
 
Knapp was on the mound for Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity. She went four and a third innings, allowing nine runs on six hits and striking out four.  Nikki Freshcorn threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
 
Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity racked up nine hits in the game.  Autumn Manns, Ramsey, and Howland each had multiple hits for Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity.  Manns went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Ridgemont Golden Gophers  Varsity in hits.
 
Wells led Perry with two hits in three at bats.  Perry didn't commit a single error in the field. D Money had the most chances in the field with 12.
