A Marion man is facing charges after a chase with a Wyandot County Sheriff's deputy Monday evening.
According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call from a man who said he was being followed in his car on U.S. 23 by a man who he has a protection order against.
A deputy observed the car being driven by the suspect and activated his overhead lights. The suspect, identified as Todd Nicholas, then accelerated and reached speeds of around 110 miles an hour before the engine blew on his car.
Nicholas was then placed under arrest for violating a protection order as well as failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. He was also cited for reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Nicholas was transported to the Wyandot County Jail.
