A Lima man has been charged with falsely overstating assets to a bank.

 

According to a release from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 77 year old Terry J. Ellis is accused of willfully and falsely overstated assets in relation to a line of credit. Ellis allegedly told JP Morgan Chase that he assets of s.3 million dollars when in truth, his assets were 1.9 million dollars.

 

If convicted, the defendant's sentence will be determined by the Court.
