Coach Aaron Frazee said, "Another match where we just couldn't get a win on the singles side. But most of that had to do with the quality of the opponent. St. Pete's has three really good singles players who hit the ball hard and know what they're doing. They are experienced and we just have trouble with those kinds of players at this point. Our girls played hard but just couldn't overcome the problems presented to us. Both of our doubles teams played really well. Jodi and Mara finished the match really strong and I like how they are playing. We have bounced Jodi around between singles and doubles, and that's really kind of unfair to her. We're going to see if we can't get her into a rhythm with Mara and maybe position them to make some noise in the tournament. Dani Conigy and Emma Schoenberger played really well for their first time playing together as well."
The Rams will compete in the Bucyrus Sam Sabback Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
