Five people were injured in a three vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on State Route 309 in Marion County.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 74 year old Lillian Hager, of Bucyrus, was stopped for a stop sign on County Road 162 and failed to yield for traffic when she pulled onto 309. Her car struck a westbound car being operated by 30 year old Elisha Cottrill, of Marion. Cottrill's car then went off the road and struck a vehicle being driven by 39 year old Amanda Klugh, of LaRue, which was stopped northbound on 162 at the stop sign.

Hager and Cottrill, plus a passenger in Cottrill's car, 28 year old Douglas D. Douglas, were all transported by MedFlight Helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Another passenger in Cottrill's car, 11 year old Hayden P. Douglas, was taken by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Columbus. Klugh was transported to Marion General Hospital for treatment.

No charges have been filed at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
