A 6th grade student in the Mohawk School District has been suspended and could face charges after making a threatening statement.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the school to investigate a complaint concerning a comment from the student that he wanted to burn down or blow up the school.

The student said he was angry at the time, and he regretted making the comment.

He was suspended for two days, but the school did not wish to pursue charges.

The boy's mother however advised that she wants charges filed on her son for his behavior.

The report will be sent to the juvenile prosecutor's office for his review.
