A rural Forest man was arrested in Upper Sandusky Thursday for failing to register as a sex offender.
According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, Robbie D. Elwood walked away from the Sheriff's Office while deputies were investigating him for the offense.
After a lengthy search, Elwood was located and was taken into custody by officers from the Upper Sandusky Police Department.
During a search, Elwood is said to have been in possession of marijuana.
He was taken to jail for failing to register as a sex offender and was also cited for possession of marijuana.
