The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a felonious assault case that occurred Wednesday night. According to a release by the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Lima, at 10:06 PM on State Route 81 near the Neubrecht Road intersection. Sheldon E Gibson, age 33 and Trevor N Hurley, age 33 both of Lima, were walking southbound on Neubrecht Road near the Findlay Road intersection.

 

A 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, driven by Damitrae J Conethan, age 25 of Lima, pulled out of a nearby parking lot and intentionally drove at both men, striking Mr. Gibson. Mr. Hurley was not struck. Mr. Gibson was seriously injured and transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Bath Township EMS where he is listed in stable condition in the ICU.

 

Ms. Conethan was taken into custody at the scene. She was incarcerated at the Allen County Jail and charged with second degree felonious assault. The case remains under investigation.
