A graduate of Upper Sandusky High School is retiring from the military.

 

The Daily Chief Union newspaper reported that Lane Cole is retiring from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service.

 

Cole graduated from Upper Sandusky in 1989 then joined the military. He did two tours in Desert Storm then spent time in the inactive reserve. He signed back up for active duty following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

 

Cole plans to retire to his El Paso, Texas home with his son Brandon.
