Numerous dogs were removed from a property in Kirby due to very cold weather and filthy living conditions.
According to a report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies investigated a complaint about the dogs with no shelter, food or water.
The deputy discovered that around 23 dogs were in above ground kennels. They had no food and the water was frozen.
A deceased dog was also discovered in one of the kennels. The Humane Society arrived and the animals were removed from the property.
The incident remains under investigation, and so far no charges have been filed.
