The Lima News reports that The married Logan County superintendents connected to a child sexual abuse case will now face a jury trial together this week.
Patrick O’Donnell, the former superintendent at Indian Lake Schools, and Heather O’Donnell, the superintendent at the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center, will go to trial on Tuesday.
Patrick O’Donnell, faces felony charges which include rape of a child under 13, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition. Patrick, who was fired from Indian Lake Local Schools in November, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The alleged victim in the case was not a student enrolled at the district.
Heather O’Donnell, is charged with two counts of child endangering. The Lima News goes on to report that Washington Twp. Police Chief Rick Core said in an affidavit that the girl told Heather O’Donnell about the alleged abuse and she didn’t report it to authorities. Heather O’Donnell has pleaded not guilty.
