A Marysville man was cited for multiple offenses following a weekend crash near Upper Sandusky.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the 11,000 block of County Highway 53 where a vehicle went off the road and struck a utility pole. There were no occupants in the vehicle when deputies arrived.

The driver, identified as 59 year old David Miller, then reported that his vehicle had been stolen, but a short time later admitted that he lied and was in fact the driver.

There were reports that Miller was driving at a high rate of speed while being chased by another vehicle following a disagreement with a resident at a house in Upper Sandusky.

Miller was charged with speeding, failure to control and for not wearing a safety belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
