The sister of a man who fought in World War II never thought she would see the day come.
Her brother Ora Sharninghouse Jr. went missing in September of 1944 after his bombing plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean.
WFIN Radio in Findlay reported that his remains were returned to Hancock County yesterday.
The Coldren-Crates Funeral Home received the remains after they were delivered by the military to the airport in Detroit.
Visitation and funeral services are planned for this week.
