The Marion Police Department took to Facebook to refute two videos attributed to them earlier this week.

One video shows an apparent police use of force incident, but careful review of the video reveals the footage did not involve the Marion Police Department as an out of state cruiser can be seen.

The second video shows an alleged overdose victim lying on the ground and several officers standing over him failing to provide aid.

The department said the person on the ground was not an overdose victim but was arrested after eluding officers for several hours.

The victim had no visible injury and the officers did not believe that he was in any type of medical distress, however the police department called for a medic from the Marion Fire Department for evaluation.
