Findlay Police and the Findlay Fire Dept. responded to the report of a submerged vehicle at Owens Community College yesterday afternoon.
Upon arrival a vehicle was located submerged in the pond, just northeast of the college. The vehicle, a Ford Contour, was removed from the pond by the Findlay Fire Dept. and Mac and Bob’s Towing.
The body of a female was located inside the car deceased. A positive identification has not been made pending an autopsy at the Lucas County Coroner’s Office. The identity will be released, once it’s confirmed.
The vehicle appears to have been submerged in the pond for some length of time. It appears at this time that it was accidentally driven into the water. When this occurred is unknown. An employee of the college noticed a portion of the car in the water and notified the Owens Police Department.
The incident is being investigated as being related to a missing person case out of Clyde, Ohio involving Charlene Robinson.
