BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Top 15 graduating seniors were part of the Bellefontaine Main Campus Honored Educators and Top Senior Students Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, May 9.
 
The annual event is an opportunity for the top seniors to select and recognize an educator who impacted and influenced their educational careers.
 
This was Hi-Point’s 11th year hosting the banquet, which coincided with National Teacher Appreciation Week. 
 
The following students and educators were recognized during the ceremony:
 
·Madison Aldo, a Multimedia Marketing student from Bellefontaine High School, honored Justin Lacher, the Multimedia Marketing instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.
 
·Matthew Smith, a Multimedia Marketing student from Riverside High School, honored Lucinda Fleming, an English teacher at Riverside High School.
 
·Jadzia Café, an Electronics Engineering student from Riverside High School, honored Ryan Gilbert, an English instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.
 
.Alexis Christon, an Allied Health and Nursing student from Upper Scioto Valley High School, honored Ryan Gilbert, an English instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.
 
·Stevie Clark, a Multimedia Marketing student from Upper Scioto Valley High School, honored Lisa Shaw, a first grade teacher at Upper Scioto Valley Elementary School.
 
·Tamara Combs, a Cosmetology student from Kenton High School, honored Tomi Cheney, the Flag Corps Advisor at Kenton High School.
 
.Sean Hurley, an Allied Health and Nursing student from Upper Scioto Valley High School, honored Melissa Rofe, an English teacher at Upper Scioto Valley High School.
 
·Karen Kuhn, an Allied Health and Nursing student from Waynesfield-Goshen High School, honored Denise Kaffenberger, the physical education teacher at Waynesfield-Goshen High School.
 
·Samuel Laird, a Structural Construction student who is home schooled, honored Josh Huff, a youth pastor.
 
·Rachel Larson, an Allied Health and Nursing student from West Liberty-Salem High School, honored Andy Cottrell, the soccer coach at West Liberty-Salem High School.
 
·Victoria Pine-Moore, an Allied Health and Nursing student from Bellefontaine High School, honored Vicci Elder, the Family and Consumer Science instructor at Bellefontaine High School.
 
·Joy Brandt, an Allied Health and Nursing student who is home schooled, honored Cheryl Brandt, her mother and home school instructor.
 
.Beigh Wilson, a Cosmetology student from Bellefontaine High School, honored Ben Davis, the Cross Country/Track Coach at Bellefontaine High School.
 
·Morgan Young, a Cosmetology student from Marysville High School, honored Craig Conley, a social studies instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.

Ohio Hi-Point’s Convocation Ceremony is Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will be held outside at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. In the event of inclement weather, Bellefontaine High School is the secondary location.
