Upcoming ODOT work this week

The following is highway construction scheduled to occur within Wyandot County.
State Route 231 between county Highway 43 and county Highway 44, north of Nevada, closed Sept. 25 for five days for the replacement of two culverts. Traffic detoured onto U.S. 30 to U.S. 23 to state Route 53 to state Route 67 to state Route 103 back to state Route 231. Work is being performed by the ODOT Wyandot County maintenance garage. U.S. 23 rest areas, both northbound and southbound, north of Upper Sandusky, closed Sept. 18 for approximately three months during a remodel project. No access to the park grounds will be permitted during the closure.
U.S. 23 and state Route 15 near their interchange with state Route 103, south of Carey, are reduced to one lane in each direction for work related to the removal of two bridge structures over abandoned railroads. Work is being performed by Miller Brothers Construction Inc., Archbold. The following are traffic impacts related to the project:
All lanes of U.S. 23/state Route 15 are now traveling on the west side of the highway.
The exit ramp from U.S. 23 northbound/state Route 15 westbound to continue onto U.S. 23 closed Aug. 25 for two months. Traffic detoured onto state Route 15 west, county Road 330 to state Route 15 east back to state Route 103. (see map)
The project also includes the upcoming resurfacing of U.S. 23 from just north of county Highway 97 to the state Route 103 interchange and of the ramps at state Route 103.
State Route 53 between state Route 103 and county Road 2, McCutchenville, closed April 24 for approximately six months for bridge replacements over Thorn Run and Tymochtee Creek. The project will continue through late October. Traffic detoured onto state Route 103, state Route 231 and U.S. 224 back to state Route 53. Work is being performed by R & I Construction, Tiffin.
