Week of Oct. 23, 2017
The following is highway construction scheduled to occur within Wyandot County.
State Route 199, both northbound and southbound, beneath U.S. 23, north of Upper Sandusky, will be reduced to one lane through the work zone during pavement repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Wyandot County maintenance garage.
U.S. 23 rest areas, both northbound and southbound, north of Upper Sandusky, closed Sept. 18 for approximately three months during a remodel project. No access to the park grounds will be permitted during the closure.
U.S. 23 and state Route 15 near their interchange with state Route 103, south of Carey, are reduced to one lane in each direction for work related to the removal of two bridge structures over abandoned railroads. Work is being performed by Miller Brothers Construction Inc., Archbold. The following are traffic impacts related to the project:
Northbound traffic on U.S. 23/state Route 15 has been switched back to the east side of the highway.
One lane of traffic in both the northbound and southbound direction is maintained through the work zone during paving operations which will continue for approximately three weeks. The ramps at state Route 103 are also being resurfaced with traffic maintained.
The exit ramp from U.S. 23 northbound/state Route 15 westbound to continue onto U.S. 23 is now open. All ramps at the interchange are open.(see map)
State Route 53 between state Route 103 and county Road 2, McCutchenville, is now open following bridge replacements over Thorn Run and Tymochtee Creek.
