Robert “Bob” G. Bailey age 86 of Kenton passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his residence in Kenton. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Gary, IN the son of the late Clifford and Lucille (DeVore) Bailey. Bob was married to Bettie Burchiel and she passed away on June 21, 1998. He is survived by his daughters Patsy (Ron) Harpest and Bobbie Jean Bailey both of Kenton; granddaughter Brandy Templeton; great grandson Kade Templeton; and his companion Sarah Louise Williams. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Jackie Bailey-Hosack. Bob graduated from Kenton High School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Marion Power Shovel as a Supervisor. He was a member of the Gene Autry Committee, a member of the Hardin Co. Historical Museums, was an avid golfer, and a collector of Kenton Toys and Gene Autry cap guns. Funeral services for Robert “Bob” G. Bailey will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Pastor Anita VanBuskirk will officiate and burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Bob will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Hardin Co. Historical Museum.
