12 Complete Basic Pistol Course in Forest

The Forest Police Department sponsored a Basic Pistol Course with classroom time at Gormley Park Qualifying Range.  

Twelve local area residents attended and all successfully completed the training.   

They are now eligible to apply for their Conceal Carry Weapons Permit through one of the area Sheriff’s Offices.  

The Forest Police Department hopes to sponsor such a class at least once a year.    

It also hopes to sponsor other Safety Training Classes for local residents.   

Some topics discussed for presentation have been:  A Hunter’s Safety Course, Home Defense Course and/or a Personal Protection Course.
