The 2020 dog tags are on sale now in Hardin County.
Every dog three months of age and older must have a license.
The fee for a 2020 dog license is $20.
If an application for registration is not filed on or before January 31, 2020, the Hardin County Auditor will assess a penalty of $20.
Beginning in February, officers will be visiting door to door, and anyone harboring an unlicensed dog will be cited into court where they could receive a fine of up to $150.
Dogs are on sale at several businesses at veterinary clinics around the county.
